Former Stone Crabs infielder Shawn O’Malley has signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. O’Malley spent the entire 2013 season with the Double-A Montgomery Biscuits where he hit .262 with 12 doubles, 6 triples and 3 home runs in 91 games.
O’Malley spent the entire season with the Stone Crabs in 2009 where he was a post-season all-star and earned a player of the week honor in mid-July. He was signed by the Rays as a fifth round pick in the 2006 Draft.
