Matt Moore was the Stone Crabs number one starter for the 2010 season. Moore led the team, league and all of minor league baseball in strikeouts during the season. He finished the season with a 6-11 record, 3.36 ERA and 208 strikeouts in 144.2 innings. His 208 strikeouts set the Stone Crabs franchise record. Moore won a career high four FSL pitcher of the week awards as well as being nominated to the post season all-star team.
Moore was drafted by the Devil Rays in the eighth round of the 2007 draft out of Moriarty (NM) High School. He made his professional debut with the Princeton Devil Rays in 2007. He returned to Princeton in 2008 where he averaged 12.75 strikeouts per nine innings, leading the minors. In 2009 he was promoted to the Bowling Green Hot Rods where he completed his first season of full season ball. He was then promoted to the Stone Crabs in 2010.
