Joe Hart has been the general manager of the Stone Crabs since the inaugural season in 2009. He leads the front office staff that helped build the Stone Crabs from the ground up and his efforts helped lay the ground work for a successful franchise. Since being named the general manager of the franchise, he helped give them an identity that is known all over the Florida State League and Minor League Baseball.
Prior to joining Ripken Baseball and becoming the general manager of the Stone Crabs, Hart was the general manager of the Nashville Sounds. He has spent several seasons in various positions in the front offices of minor league clubs. He worked his way through the ranks of the front office, starting as an intern, he then worked in food and beverage, sales and eventually to the role of general manager.
