Chris Murrill joined the Stone Crabs on Independence Day 2010 after being promoted from Bowling Green. Murrill hit .226 with 2 doubles, 11 RBI’s and 9 stolen bases. He was fourth in the club in stolen bases despite playing just 45 games.

Murrill rejoined the Stone Crabs to start the 2011 season.

Murrill was drafted by the Rays in the 35th round of the 2009 draft out of Nicholls State. He made his pro debut with the Hudson Valley Renegades. In 2010 he was promoted to the Bowling Green Hot Rods where he was a Midwest League All-Star before his promotion to the Stone Crabs in July.
