Jim Morrison


Jim Morrison has been the Stone Crabs manager for both seasons of the clubs existance. His leadership has led the Stone Crabs into the playoff for both seasons. In their inaugural season in 2009, he led the club to a wildcard berth where they one the division title but fell to Tampa in the championship series. In 2010 they improved on their record and finsihed with a league best 80-59 record and once again made the playoffs and like 2009 they won the division title and fell in the championship series.

Morrison has been a coach with the Rays organization since 2007. Prior to joining the Rays, he spent six years as a coach in the Phillies organization.

Morrison spent 15 years in the pros as an infielder, mostly playing third base. He was drafted by the Phillies in the fifth round of the 1974 draft and spent time with the Phillies, White Sox and Pirates organizations.
