Carlos Pena joined the Stone Crabs for a one game rehab assignment in 2010. In his only game with the Stone Crabs, Pena went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Pena entered professional baseball in 1998 after being drafted by the Texas Rangers as the tenth overall pick in the draft. He spent time in the Rangers, Oakland Athletics, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox organizations before being signed by the Devil Rays prior to the 2007 season. During Pena’s time with the Rays, he was the AL Silver Slugger in 2007, AL Gold Glove in 2008 and an AL All-Star in 2009.

Pena was granted free agency following the 2010 season and was later signed by the Chicago Cubs.
