Isaias Velasquez

Isaias Velasquez was the Stone Crabs starting centerfielder for the 2010 season. He played in 127 games for the Stone Crabs, hitting .289/.357/.356 with 17 doubles, 4 triples, two home runs, 36 RBI’s and 41 stolen bases. Isaias was a member of the 2010 Florida State League All-Star squad.

Velasquez was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Indians in 2004. He spend his first four seasons in the Indians minor league system, reaching as high as short season A with Mahoning Valley in 2008 where he was a New York-Penn League All-Star. Velasquez joined the Rays organization in 2009 and was assigned to the Bowling Green Hot Rods. He was promoted to the Stone Crabs for 2010.
