Scott Kazmir made an apperance with the Stone Crabs in 2009 while on a rehab assignment from the Rays. In his only start with the Stone Crabs, Kazmir pitched 4 ⅔ scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts.
Kazmir was drafted by the New York Mets in the first round of the 2002 draft. After spending 3 years in the Mets organization, he was traded to the Rays in 2004. He remained with the Rays until August 2009 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
