GCL Rays Walk-Off in Game Two of Doubleheader

A walk-off home run by Miguel Hernandez lifted the GCL Rays to a 1-0 win over the GCL Twins in game two of Wednesday doubleheader.

The game was a result of a weather suspension back on July 29 and resumed in the fifth inning tied 0-0 and would remained scoreless until the bottom of the ninth. That’s when Hernandez took a pitch from Twins reliever Moises Gomez deep to left, winning the game for the Rays.

Edrick Agosto picked up the win for the Rays. Gomez was the losing pitcher for the Twins.

The series concluded on Thursday in Port Charlotte.
