They tried to squeeze in Monday’s game between the GCL Rays and the GCL Red Sox but only eleven hitters made it to the plate before the game was suspended in the middle of the second inning due to rain.

There wasn’t much offense to report in the game with only one hit being recorded. The Rays right fielder Oscar Rojas doubled to lead off the second inning. Rojas would be stranded at second before the game was called in the middle of the frame.

The game will be picked up tomorrow in Port Charlotte with the regular scheduled game to follow.
