GCL Rays Lose Third Straight

The GCL Rays were shut-out for the second straight day, losing their third game in a row to the GCL Red Sox.

The Red Sox a run in the first inning and never looked back. They added another run in the fifth and the seventh to round out the afternoon.

The Rays put runners on the bases several times and even moved them into scoring position a few times but failed to find a way to plate a run. The Rays have now been kept off the scoreboard by the Red Sox for twenty consecutive innings.

Andrew Woeck was charged with the loss for the Rays.

The four game series against the Red Sox concludes in Fort Myers on Thursday.
