The Stone Crabs continue to play red hot baseball as they slammed the Jupiter Hammerheads 9-2 on Saturday night at Roger Dean Stadium.

Jupiter jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Yefri Perez and Avery Romero delivered back to back singles to lead off the inning. Felix Munoz drove home Perez and Romero scored on an error to give the Hammerheads a 2-0 lead.

The Stone Crabs bounced back with three runs in the second to take the lead. Dayron Varona and Maxx Tissenbaum singled to put runners on the bags for the Stone Crabs. Mike Marjama delivered with a single to left, scoring both runners and a field error on the play allowed him to make it the whole way around the basepath to give the Stone Crabs a 3-2 lead.

The Stone Crabs added another run in the third. Marjama was hit by a pitch and would later score on a single by Yoel Araujo to increase the lead to 4-2.

The Stone Crabs would string together another three run inning in the sixth. Marjama singled home Varona for the first run of the inning. Then a two run triple by Araujo would make it 7-2.

The Stone Crabs added two more runs in the eighth inning. An RBI single by Tissenbaum and an RBI double by Marjama would give the Stone Crabs the 9-2 victory.

German Marquez picked up his fourth win of the season. Jose Adames was the losing pitcher for Jupiter.

The Stone Crabs look to sweep the series on Sunday afternoon at Roger Dean Stadium. Taylor Guerrieri (1-0, 4.40) will be on the hill for the Stone Crabs against Jarlin Garcia (2-1, 2.37) for Jupiter.
