Stone Crabs Held Scoreless by Brevard County

The Stone Crabs were shut-out by the Brevard County Manatees, losing 2-0 on Thursday night at Space Coast Stadium. The offense went 0 for 11 with runners in scoring position as they failed to score a run in the loss.

Brevard County took the lead in the first inning. Chris McFarland drew a walk to lead off the inning. He would later score on an RBI single by Taylor Brennan to give them a 1-0 lead.
The Manatees added an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI single by Garrett Cooper to make it 2-0.

The Stone Crabs would put runners in scoring position in six of the nine innings, but failed to find a way to score the runners as they fell 2-0.

German Marquez suffered the loss, evening his record at 3-3. Javier Salas was the winning pitcher and Trevor Seidenberger picked up the save.

The series concludes on Friday night at Space Coast Stadium. Taylor Guerrieri (0-0, 1.59) will get the start against Jorge Ortega for Brevard County.
