Stone Crabs Sweep FSL Player of the Week Honors

The Stone Crabs took home both the Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week honors for the Florida State League. Infielder Willy Adames and pitcher Buddy Borden were awarded for their efforts during the week.

Adames had a career high 4 hits on Saturday night against St Lucie to help fuel his big week at the plate. On the week he was 9 for 21 with 2 doubles, a triple and a home run on the week. Adames is now hitting .300 with 7 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs in 32 games this season.

Borden tossed the Stone Crabs second no-hitter in franchise history on Wednesday at Clearwater. He was struck out 3 hitters during the complete game no-hitter. Borden is 4-1 with a 2.54 ERA in 8 games for the Stone Crabs this season.
