Stone Crabs Held Scoreless by Fort Myers

The tables were turned this time as the Stone Crabs found themselves on a losing side of shut-out as they lost to the Fort Myers Miracle 3-0 on Friday night at CenturyLink Sports Complex.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Niko Goodrum took an offering from Ryne Stanek over the right field wall for a two run homer.

The Miracle added an insurance run in the bottom of the eight to give them the 3-0 victory.

The Stone Crabs struggled a bit offensively, only putting five runners on the bases and none of which made it past third base.

Aaron Siegers picked up the win for Fort Myers and JT Chargois got the save. Stanek suffered the loss for the Stone Crabs despite racking up six strikeouts on the night.

The series continues on Saturday night at CenturyLink Field. Chris Kirsch (0-0, 0.00) will get the start for the Stone Crabs against Chih-Wei Hu (0-0, 0.00) for Fort Myers.
