Leonard and O’Conner Represent Stone Crabs in FSL Home Run Derby

2014 All StarPat Leonard and Justin O’Conner were both selected to represent the South Division in the 2014 FSL All-Star Home Run Derby on Saturday night at McKechnie Field.

Leonard led off the derby for the South Division, hitting six home runs and finishing with 23 points in the first round.

O’Conner hit sixth in the derby. He finished with 19 points and had 5 homers.

Both Stone Crabs hitters were eliminated in the first round as Fort Myers Adam Brett Walker and Daytona’s Bijan Rademacher advanced to the final round.

Walker, the league home run leader, showcased his power again in the finale, winning the 2014 FSL All-Star Home Run Derby.

  • Dante Bichette Jr (Tampa) – 49
  • KC Hobson (Dunedin) – 24
  • Pat Leonard (Charlotte) – 23

  • Josh Bell (Bradenton) – 22
  • Justin O’Conner (Charlotte) – 19

The 2014 Florida State League All-Star Game will follow with first pitch on schedule for 7:05.
