The Stone Crabs have added lefty pitcher Blake Snell to the roster from Single-A Bowling Green. Snell was 3-2 with a 1.79 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 8 starts for the Hot Rods. He will waste no time in getting his first start for the Stone Crabs, getting the nod tonight against Dunedin.
Snell was drafted by the Rays in first round of the 2011 Draft out of Shorewood High School in Washington. He is the Rays #6 prospect entering this season.
To make room for Snell, Willie Gabay was transferred to Bowling Green. Gabay pitched in 3 games for the Stone Crabs and had a 1.35 ERA.
