Wrigley was drafted by the Rays in the 14th round of the 2005 draft out of College of San Mateo. Wrigley spent the first seven years of his career in the Rays organization, reaching Triple-A Durham before declaring free agency at the end of the 2012 season. Wrigley signed with the Colorado Rockies for the 2013 season but ended up on the disabled list after 31 games with Tulsa. Wrigley signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles but was released before the 2014 season started.
Wrigley was with the Stone Crabs for 138 games spanned across the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He was an FSL All-Star in 2010 where he won the Home Run Derby.
