10/22 Arizona Fall League roundup: Garvin struggles in third outing

Grayson Garvin toed the rubber for his third Salt River start on Tuesday evening in an eventual 5-3 loss against the Peoria Javelinas. Garvin, a 2013 Stone Crab, managed three and a third innings, allowing four runs off nine hits and striking out two. The southpaw’s ERA rose to 5.11 at the end of the evening, and he was tagged with his second loss.

The Rafters travel to Surprise Stadium to take on the Saguaros in a 12:35 MST (3:35 EST) game. After Tuesday’s loss, the Rafters sit in last place in the Arizona Fall League South Division, with a record of 4-8.

  • Mike Montgomery (2013): an earned run off 4 hits, a walk, and 2 strikeouts in 2 innings
