Former Stone Crab De Los Santos traded to White Sox

Frank De Los SantosFormer Stone Crab southpaw Frank De Los Santos was traded on Saturday afternoon to the Chicago White Sox for cash or a player to be named, according to the Tampa Bay Times. De Los Santos, who played out the 2013 season with the Triple-A Durham Bulls, spent 2010 and part of 2011 with the Charlotte squad. In 2010, De Los Santos went 10-9 with a 4.33 ERA in 25 games (24 starts). He pitched one game in 2011 before being promoted to Double-A Montgomery. This past season, he appeared in two games with the Stone Crabs while serving a rehab stint.

The roster move was made to open up a spot in the Tampa Bay Rays’ 40-man.
