Stone Crabs Shut-Out in Game Two of FSL Championship Series

The Stone Crabs find themselves in a two game deficit in the Florida State League Championship Series as they were shut-out 2-0 by the Daytona Cubs on Saturday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

Daytona took an early lead in the first inning. Dan Vogelbach doubled home Dustin Geiger to give the Cubs a 1-0 lead.

The Cubs later picked up an insurance run in the seventh inning on an RBI double by Chadd Krist to increase their lead to 2-0.

The Stone Crabs were held off the scoreboard the remainder of the night as they fell 2-0 and now trail the best of five series by two games.

Grayson Garvin was charged with the loss for the Stone Crabs.

The series shifts to Charlotte Sports Park for the final three games of the series. Game three is on Sunday with first pitch at 5pm. Starters have not been announced yet for either club.
