Two additional roster moves were made in light of Hector Guevara’s promotion to the Montgomery Biscuits. Shortstop Jake Hager was activated from the disabled list after serving a short rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Rays. Hager made his first appearance since June 8 in tonight’s game versus the Bradenton Marauders as a pinch runner, and went on to finish the night 0-for-2.

Earlier, left-handed reliever Jim Patterson was added to the roster from Montgomery. Patterson pitched one game with the Biscuits before being sidelined with an injury, and subsequently made his Stone Crabs debut tonight. Patterson threw three innings and gave up one run, striking out four. The southpaw was an 18th round pick out of Arizona State University in the 2010 draft for the Tampa Bay Rays.
