Stone Crabs Shut-Out by Jupiter

Robi Estrada singled to extend his hitting streak to seven games.

Despite outhitting their opponent, the Stone Crabs were shut-out by the Jupiter Hammerheads 2-0 on Saturday night at Roger Dean Stadium. The Stone Crabs were unable to capitalize on three errors by Jupiter or turn runners into runs as they were shut-out for the seventh time this season.

Jupiter took the lead in the second inning. Ryan Fisher singled home JT Realmuto to give the Hammerheads a 1-0 lead.

The Hammerheads added an insurance run in the sixth off the big bat of MLB rehabbing slugger Giancarlo Stanton. Stanton went deep to left to put the Hammerheads ahead 2-0.

Enny Romero was charged with the loss.

The Stone Crabs try to avoid the sweep in the series finale on Sunday at Roger Dean Stadium. Victor Mateo will start the finale against Jose Fernandez for Jupiter.
